Wind Energy Powers Federal Building
A federal building in Binghampton, NY will be powered exclusively by wind power. The building consumes about 500,000 kWh of energy per year. There is a growing contingency of wind power advocates in Utah and they have started a wind farm down near Camp Williams (south of Salt Lake City). Perhaps we should explore the possibility of powering something like the Corrections administration building with a combination of wind and solar. There is an abundant supply of both in the area. Kinko's is currently claims to be the largest Utah consumer of wind power, supplying 10% of their energy through that means. Utah Green Power promotes the use of wind energy in the state.
