I started using blam! tonight for as a test with my Bejing Bicycle review from a few days ago.  This is the semantic web at it's best making life easier for everyone! Kudos to Alf Eaton

"blam! has become a templating tool for writing reviews of (so far) books, CDs and DVDs.

You enter the ASIN/ISBN number of the item you're reviewing, then fill in the name and URL of your weblog, your Amazon associates ID if you have one, and your review.

blam! uses Amazon's web services to look up the metadata for that item, then produces the HTML you need to paste into your weblog, including an image of the item, referral links to Amazon, and metadata that will allow sites like allconsuming.net to pick up your review."

"SJ Mercury: Cellular pioneer still causing stir. Dan Gillmor. Many carriers still exhibit the monopolistic attitudes of legacy telecom companies. They control the networks and the service, a combination that holds back the kind of furious innovation we need, Cooper says, not to mention the essential basics." [via Tomalak's Realm]

Now that I have a TV tuner in my box at home, I might have to peruse this.

"Chris Pirillo tells me that SnapStream will kill Microsoft's Media Center initiatives. That's a strong statement Chris. Looking forward to more on that on your blog." [via The Scobleizer Weblog]
