Minolta has announced a number of new digicams, including the Minolta DiMAGE A1 5mp dSLR with anti-shake CCD. Reportedly a first, "The camera's new Anti-shake function minimizes the effect of camera shake, a slight blurring of the image when the camera is handheld, to provide the sharpest image possible." From DPreview.
Sounds useful for handheld VRs -- I would expect this kind of thing to be built in to all dSLRs within a year or two, along with an orientation sensor to detect portrait or landscape shots.

Purpose |
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
