Real's new strategy: One For All. New RealPlayer will play AAC, Windows Media, and QuickTime. From NetImperative. Not clear if new RealPlayer will be able to play QTVRs.

Related news: Flaw in RealPlayer Client Could Allow Remote Attack, from eweek. "...this issue affects "RealPlayer 8, RealOne Player, RealOne Player v2 for Windows only (all languages), RealPlayer 10 Beta (English only) and ReaPlayer Enterprise (all versions, standalone and as configured by the RealPlayer Enterprise Manager)." The RealPlayer 10 Gold client removes the affected component at installation and is therefore not considered vulnerable."

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
