I'm happy to announce the availability of a new shaded relief hiking map
of Edgewood County Park and Nature Preserve, using the BitPass
micropayment system, on VirtualParks.org. The map actually went up
about a month ago but has been refined several times since and is ready
for public use. The map features shaded relief, topo lines, trail
mileages and milepost locations. It shows where the powerlines are,
bench locations, as well as informational kiosks.
I've set up a BitPass "promotion" for this map; the
first 1000 buyers between now and May 1st can send an email to friends
with a link to the content and their friends get to access the map for
free. (I don't quite get how a buyer sees the option to send that
special link, but perhaps that's because I'm the creator of the content
and promotion. If you buy the map, let me know if you see a promote
link). I would have set the number of buyers to something less than
1000 but BitPass doesn't seem to allow you to do that. Hence the short timeframe.

Purpose |
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
