"Quicktime 7 to be a huge step forward", or so the rumors claim at macosXrumors. One click automatic codec installation, SMIL 2, web plugin improvements, H.264, fullscreen for the free player?

"Virtual reality appears to dramatically change how the brain physically registers pain, not just how people subjected to pain perceive the incoming signals, according to a new study by a group of University of Washington researchers." From EurekaAlert.

Of course they are talking about the head-mounted goggles and gloves kind of VR. Still very interesting -- will dentists, surgeons, physical therapists be using VR on patients soon?
