After a final review, Lucky put down his pen and realized that he'd taken the last exam of the year; quite possibly the last exam he would take, for a very long time. He strolled out to the terrace outside Freddy's bar, grabbing a beer en route. Several of his friends were chatting in the afternoon sunshine; lazy and relaxed, such a contrast from the frantic scene after P1 exams; most people just couldn't care less how the exams turned out.
He saw some friends who would be going to Singapore or Wharton on exchange; this could be the last time he would see them. Suddenly he felt like Captain Von Trapp on stage saying, "My fellow ... Austrians, I shall not be seeing you again, perhaps for a very long time..."
The exams themselves went fine; there was only one question on the IPIC final that required knowledge from a case, and since he didn't read it, he wasn't bothered. He simply acted as if he knew how Europe would restructure its electricity industry and wrote accordingly. Business school really does teach you useful skills.
Easiest question on the IPA final:
Pick the THREE countries on this list that will not join the EU in 2004: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey
Answers here.
The IPA final was not completely inane. Lucky wrote two long essays, the first on Realism (what it is, how it explains current world events; aren't you glad you read the Mearsheimer interview from yesterday!), and the second on the past, present, and future of European integration.
It's so close to the end of P4, so close... only one last paper left to write, and then it's off to a week's vacation. And then, at long last, he'll sleep the sleep of the wicked.
