Goodbye Ebay, Hello Groove Financial Times' IT Tech Report (10/02/02) had an article on how 'Peer-to-peer cuts the costs of equity trading'. It described how LiquidNet uses a "Napster-style" system in financial markets - with the potential savings of over $100bn (in hidden transactions costs) and with far less market price volatility. A McKinsey article on Private B2B Exchanges states how 90 percent of investments in new market infrastructure in the next three years will be for private exchanges. Put both together and "Napster-style" systems are creating more efficient markets. 5:32:22 AM ![]() |
