DotNet Stuff (2) I attended the CT SQL Server User Group meeting last night. The topic was 'Server Security' and was presented ably by Bill Sulcius of Microsoft. It was well attended (~50 developers/DBAs). Bill highlighted the differences in security between SQL2K and prior versions SQL7/SQL6.5, the use of the Profiler Tool, Tracing, Enhanced Security, etc. Next month's topic is the new SQL2K feature - 'Notification Services'. Spoke to Alan (also of Microsoft) about using Groove for communicating with the User Group - discussion, chat, code sharing, etc... This should be very interesting. 7:59:49 AM ![]() |
