Programmers at Work
This book was published in the mid-80's and is a compendium of essays about some notable programmers. Some who are mentioned are: Warnock (Adobe Postscript), Bill Gates, Gary Kildall (CP/M), Dan Bricklin (VisiCalc), Jonathan Sachs (Lotus 1-2-3) and Ray Ozzie (now Groove).
This book is enjoyable to read and describes their programming style and personal preferences. Some code examples are shown - portions of Bill Gates' original source code for 8080 BASIC. Ray Ozzie is also quoted - "Programming is the ultimate field for someone who likes to tinker".
