The spin side of MONO/ROTOR There are two known shared-source (aka open-source) initiatives regarding .NET - Microsoft's own ROTOR and XIMIAN's MONO. The current issue of Business 2.0 [Dec02/Jan03] issue has an article on Miguel de Icaza, who is also the CTO & co-founder of XIMIAN and the principal of the MONO project. Microsoft appears unconcerned - MONO enhances .NET's credibility in the market and helps stave off its nemesis, Java. Both ROTOR and MONO initiatives are worth following. 8:56:11 AM
