Another great night of .NET development Last night I attended the meeting of the CT .NET Developer Group. These meetings are hosted by Microsoft at their Farmington, CT offices. They are very informative, helpful in networking with other developers and interspersed with pizza and raffles with book giveaways. I received the book Designing Microsoft(r) ASP.NET Applications (Douglas Reilly), courtesy of Mike Cardi (of Pinnacle Decision Systems). (Thanks again Mike). Mike Cardi and Aimee Sessler (Pinnacle Decision Systems) presented an informative session on ASP.NET Controls - showing how to build more powerful ASP.NET applications faster with built-in and custom controls. The last session of the evening was Mike Smoolca's Using XML as the Foundation for Distributed Design. Mike is a Senior Consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services and his sessions are usually on advanced .NET topics and his code examples are almost invariably in C# ! 7:47:05 AM ![]() |
