BIZlife challenges SI for kiss of death honors

Old news here:

Stopped in to say hello at my old company today and happened to notice their  latest issue of BIZlife magazine laying in the lobby.  (The BIZlife office is actually just a few buildings down in the Piedmont Center business park.)

Been a couple of rough months for BIZlife on their front cover feature stories.  Armstrong Williams "The Voice of Conservative Black Values" is the cover boy on this month's issue.  Inside on page 12 Williams, the former executive of a High Point PR firm, muggs for a photo op while crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay.  His quote in the caption seems especially appropriate now, "I always catch double what everyone else catches; it must be the farm boy in me."

Also, inside the magazine on page 8 is a small correction at the bottom of the page apologizing for having spelled Jon Kuhn's name wrong in their December issue feature article.

For the record though still a worthy magazine that a few Stop the FTAA ads might look sharp in.

A picture named wolfowitzbagman.jpgPaul Wolfowitz - Bagman for Humanity

For those too busy earning their tax bills, here is an update on Tsunami relief entitled Bag of Rice from today's home page of our Department of Defense (Formerly the War Department.)

As you can see, our tax dollars are in good hands with Paul Wolfowitz who is showing off the extreme efficiency of the DoD in managing humanitarian relief efforts.  Look for this clip to show up in a future Michael Moore movie.

Now if I was the editor for this comically staged photo op shot by Air Force Master Sgt. James Bowman, I would have cropped out the other cameraman setting up and the helpless guy in the back who is figuring out that two 10 kilo bags of rice are not that easy to carry, especially if one has slipped to your hip.

The reason I was over at this site was to get the official news release everyone is now quoting which details DoD's excoriation of Mr. Hersh's claims that our duly elected government is preparing to expand the Middle East War to Iran --- even though "there are no plans for a draft."
