Ceramics Today...Site of the Week! A big thanks to Ceramics Today for naming me their Site of the Week. For those who are coming in for the first time, feel free to roam around. Might I suggest: Pick out some free art...suitable for framing! Ceramic instructional material...for your amusement and edification. ...or just scoll through the daily postings. I am currently taking a good hard look at a particular wooden container in order to better understand how an artist can convey the idea that something special is contained within. This will help me, and hopefully others, include those elements in their own work. Here is one of my early pieces in this area. It is a box to hold a ring. It is about 4 inches high. (I like the notion that the knowledge of the physical contents within a work of art can effect the meaning of the piece...This is also true of some textual and other components that reside outside of the piece.) 2:32:29 PM
