Scotsman: "The head of MI5 has submitted evidence to the House of Lords implying she believes information obtained under torture can be helpful in the fight against terrorism."
Mrs Eliza Manningham-Buller uses a typical English understatement. What she means is she would allow torture to get information.

TimesOnline: "Ms Cameron was arrested under the Terrorism Act for walking along a cycle path in the harbour area of Dundee."

ABC: "In Britain, an Australian-born RAF (Royal Air Force) officer could be sent to jail after refusing to return to Iraq because he believes the war there is illegal."

TimesOnline: "One of Britain's most senior judges last night accused ministers of producing 'half-baked' criminal justice reforms and then blaming judges for the failings of the system.
Lord Steyn, a law lord, also launched a scathing attack on ministers over the Iraq war, accusing them of 'scraping the bottom of the legal barrel' to justify their case."

Indymedia: "The prime suspect in the disappearance of Castlederg teenager Arlene Arkinson, as well as a number of young women in the Republic, may have been working as a Special Branch agent throughout the time of those disappearances."
