Yahoo: "An angry mob of insurgents attacked a convoy of American contractors last month when they got lost in a town north of Baghdad, killing four and wounding two, the U.S. military said on Sunday."
Telegraph: "Millions of Iraqis believe that suicide attacks against British troops are justified, a secret military poll commissioned by senior officers has revealed."
This means the situation is the same as in Vietnam where practically the whole population was against the Americans. It is impossible to win a war when you are fighting the majority of a nation.
DailyTimes: "A veteran US diplomat who served as a government adviser in Iraq says US policy in the country at the initial stage of the occupation was driven by neoconservative ideology rather than careful preparation and clear understanding of issues."
And neocon corporations are only concerned about their profits.
The next war is already being organised.
DailyNews: "Iran said yesterday it has proof that Britain was involved in a double bomb attack last week that killed six people and injured more than 100 in Ahvaz."
Harper'sMagazine: "On the evidence of the wonderful work currently being done by the Bush Administration with respect to the trade deficit and the national debt - to say nothing of expanding the markets for global terrorism - I think we can look forward with confidence to character-building bankruptcies, picturesque bread riots, thrilling cavalcades of splendidly costumed motorcycle police."

Spiegel: Suheir al-Sadik, the central witness in the report by Detlev Mehlis, the head of the UN Investigation Commission on the assassination of the former Lebanon PM Hariri, is a multiple convicted fraud. He is reported to have received a large sum of money and it is highly probable he is lying about the involvement of Syria in the murder.
