NYTimes: "Under a secret Bush administration program initiated weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks, counterterrorism officials have gained access to financial records from a vast international database and examined banking transactions involving thousands of Americans and others in the United States, according to government and industry officials.
The program, however, is a significant departure from typical practice in how the government acquires Americans' financial records. Treasury officials did not seek individual court-approved warrants or subpoenas to examine specific transactions, instead relying on broad administrative subpoenas for millions of records from the cooperative, known as Swift."
I don't for a moment believe this operation is aimed at fighting terrorism. The ultimate aim is getting information about and control of financial transactions from and to the United States, to be able to influence and gear the streams of money. While the US is trying to control the finances of all Americans, the Bush administration is uncontrollably endangering the US and world economy.

The Bush administration does not care about the American citizen. The Bushites are criminals, they lie, cheat and kill. And they use terrorism to justify their neocon policies of greed and aggression.

Seven people were arrested Thursday in connection with the early stages of a plot to attack Chicago's Sears Tower and other buildings in the U.S., including the FBI office here, a federal law enforcement official said.
And they just happened to arrest them today. Uh huh. What's the matter? A good Orange Alert just doesn't get out the vote like it used to?"
CBS2Chicago: "However, Sears Tower security officials regularly speak with the FBI and local law enforcement authorities who track and investigate terrorism threats. Today was no exception. Despite new information, law enforcement continues to tell us that they have never found evidence of a credible terrorism threat against Sears Tower that has gone beyond criminal discussions."
So it is clear they are lying again about a threat to the Sears Tower. And I suppose they are also lying about this:
"Terrorist cells linked to al-Qaeda developed sophisticated plans to hijack a passenger jet at Heathrow Airport and fly it into a skyscraper at Canary Wharf in London's Docklands, a United States intelligence report has said."
The reason why the Bush regime wants more secrecy and special powers to arrest anyone, is that they can only get away with this scam and arrest innocent people, when nobody can question their lies in court. And Bush will stop at nothing. Bush hates Americans.
