BradBlog: "It seems that Absentee Ballot Applications with an election date of November 7, 2000 are showing up all over various public libraries in Ohio. A typo? Apparently not. The forms are old ones, but for some reason are being made available, along with old Voter Registration forms - from 2004 - in all sorts of locations!"

Here are some tricks they used to steal the 2004 election.

ICH: "The outcome of the November election is likely to determine whether or not the US goes to war with Iran before President Bush leaves office. For multiple reasons recounted below such war will with very high probability include the US use of tactical nuclear weapons. In casting or not casting a vote in November, each of us will contribute to determine events of potential consequences immensely larger than local taxes, illegal immigration or even the Iraq war. Crossing the nuclear threshold in a war against Iran will trigger a chain reaction that in weeks, years or decades could lead with high probability to global nuclear war and widespread destruction of life on the planet."

If the Democrats don't win the November election, then there is something rotten in the US of A. And that includes the Democrats. Do they want to win or not, that's the question.

CBS2: "Civil rights lawyer Lynne Stewart was sentenced Monday to 28 months in prison on a terrorism charge for helping a client who plotted to blow up New York City landmarks communicate with his followers, a sentence far less than 30 years prosecutors wanted.
Stewart, in her letter to the judge, said she did not intentionally enter into any plot or conspiracy to aid a terrorist organization. She believes the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks made her behavior intolerable in the eyes of the government and gave it an excuse to make an example out of her."

DemocracyNow: "Stewart's case has reverberated with defense attorneys around the country. Many argue that the government's aim is to discourage them from representing unpopular clients."

SFGate: "Saddam Hussein issued an open letter Monday, saying Iraq's 'liberation is at hand' and calling for an end to sectarian killings. The brother of the prosecutor in his genocide trial was shot to death at home, the latest death linked to proceedings against the deposed leader."

NYTimes: "Wal-Mart Stores, the largest retailer in the United States, is laying the groundwork to become the biggest foreign chain in China with the $1 billion purchase of a major retailer here, according to people briefed on the deal."

AlterNet: "The New York Times reported on its front page Friday that US-based corporations are fighting a proposed Chinese law that seeks to protect workers' rights. The law is 'setting off a battle with American and other foreign corporations that have lobbied against it by hinting that they may build fewer factories here'."

This is what neocon capitalism is all about: the exploitation of the labour force and resources, and the profits of the corporations. The neocons have invaded health care, have appropriated all national and international resources which are public property (like water, oil) and are using governments to further their aims, if necessary by war.
LATimes: "Two years after California overhauled its workers' compensation program, costs paid by employers have been sliced in half and profits for insurers have soared."

AlterNet: "Even as Iraq verges on splintering into a sectarian civil war, four big oil companies are on the verge of locking up its massive, profitable reserves, known to everyone in the petroleum industry as 'the prize'.
Both independent analysts and officials within Iraq's Oil Ministry anticipate that when all is said and done, the big winners in Iraq will be the Big Four - the American firms Exxon-Mobile and Chevron, the British BP-Amoco and Royal Dutch-Shell - that dominate the world oil market."
