JewishPress: "Sen. Clinton: First, I don't think we should have pushed for an election in the Palestinian territories. I think that was a big mistake."
I had until now always thought that Hillary was a Democrat.

Guardian: "Officials in Afghanistan were today investigating the possible deaths of 60 civilians during a Nato and Afghan army offensive in the south of the country."
Xinhua mentions 85 killed civilians.

BBC: "It is hard for Nato to promote its mission as humanitarian given the inevitable civilian casualties of conflict."

Independent: "Global warming could cost the world's economies up to 20 per cent of their gross domestic product (GDP) if urgent action is not taken to stop floods, storms and natural catastrophes.
That stark warning was given to Tony Blair and his cabinet yesterday by Sir Nicholas Stern, a former World Bank economist, and is said to have left cabinet ministers chastened by the magnitude of the threat posed by climate change."

FAO: "Ten years after the World Food Summit, global representatives from over 120 countries will meet in Rome next week to review just how far the world has come towards meeting the 2015 goal of reducing by half the number of hungry people in the world, then estimated at 800 million."

Instead of solving the above huge problems, the boys in power are playing with their guns. With disastrous results.

ACDN: "On 23 October 2006, ACDN placed on its website an item about a video available on internet. This video showed a large fire and a series of explosions (one of them huge and blinding) which allegedly occurred on 18 October as a US base in Baghdad.
We wondered then: 'Unless this has been doctored, the size of the explosion and the mushroom cloud afterwards leave little doubt about the nuclear nature of this explosion. It is hard to believe that this information has been kept secret for 5 days. Were it to be verified - a task for journalists to undertake - it would be the first nuclear explosion in a city provoked by an act of war since Nagasaki on 9 August 1945.'
We will revisit the reasons why there is nothing absurd in thinking that the Baghdad explosions could have been nuclear. In any case, these provisional conclusions do not alter our definitive conclusion of 23 October: 'Whatever the exact facts, in a Middle East that is burning and a world where the temptation to acquire weapons of mass destruction is proliferating, the need for nuclear disarmament by all nations becomes absolutely urgent.'"

"These animations aim to bring some of Leonardo's visions to life.
The animations have been made using various techniques: a combination of traditional drawn animations and computer-generated animations. The biggest task was to bring those two together, and try as far as possible to emulate the drawings in Leonardo's sketchbooks."
