(US-Massachusetts) One of the Country's premier biotechnology companies is seeking a Virologist/Molecular Biologist to provide leadership in method development and training in a Quality Control Bioassay group. Tasks to be performed include technical and training support in a QC Virus/Mycoplasma lot release laboratory, and oversight of cell bank characterization testing based on current FDA and ICH guidelines. Successful candidate will be involved with developing/revising new assays in virology and PRC (mycoplasma), performing and establishing training on various Retrovirus assays (S+L-, RT), and having oversight of the construction and managment of a molecular biology adventitious agent laboratory. Approximately 50% of the tasks will be hands-on laboratory work and 50% support of IND, BLA/CTD filings and internal and external FDA audits. REQUIREMENTS: GMP/GLP/GCP experience a plus. Ph.D. in virology/molecular biology with post doctoral experience plus at least 2 years in clinical virology molecular biology is preferred in a biomedical, academic, or industrial environment.
