(Canada-Quebec) Canadian Research firm desires a Pathology Director / Toxicologist, and a Pathologist DVM. REQUIREMENTS: Must hold DVM - Dr. of Veterinary Medicine Board Certification desirable - ACVP. (American College of Veterinary Pathologists) Training and experience in toxicology essential - DABT very helpful. Strong scientific and senior management background. Animal toxicology / pathology background. Candidates welcome from Canada, USA, overseas. If not local, must still be ACVP eligible and be a DVM. DUTIES: Oversee and evaluate and ameliorate services and research related to microscopy/ histology. Assess safety of new medicines/ drugs re toxicity research. Responsible for staff, equipment, science, level of quality work. Team and leadership roles. Good oral and written communication skills. Salary commensurate with experience. (Canada-Ontario-Ottawa) Pivotal position available with our interesting, growing pharmaceutical client located in Eastern Ontario. Considered Senior Management and very important. Our client is searching for that special candidate who can lead their Quality Department, meaning botoh QA and QC, covering all aspects of GMP, compliance, cleaning, and validation. This individual must be able to take dharge, mentor, and create/maintain a frictionless atmosphere between Quality and Operations. It will be up to the Manager to approve all SOPs, specifications, plans, and ensure that third party agreements / requirements are met. REQUIREMENTS: BS (B.Sc.) plus 10 to 15 years' experience in pharmaceuticals, growing through the years, with particular emphasis on solid dosage if possible. Proven management experience, and able to represent company in the audit process. A suitable candidate must have a personal stability record, 5 years per company. Someone able to take dharge with full confidence, and groom others. Strong communication skills. Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP, Compliance in the Canadian manufacturing industry. Experience dealing withi contract manufacturers, or working within one. Desire to enjoy quality of life in small town Canada, location on beautiful lake, with boating, golf, winter sports. People from food, health food, devices, cosmetics, sterile products/injections, packaging, without solid dosage and without North American (preferably Canadian TPD regulatory, quality issues) quality management background cannot be considered.
