(US-Texas-Houston) A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study cross-talk between estrogen receptor (ER) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF) signaling in both normal mammary gland development and breast cancer progression. We are using newly developed transgenic and knockout mouse models, and novel inhibitors of both hormone and growth factor signaling pathways, to understand the cellular and physiological relevance of this cross-talk. Experiments ongoing in the lab use state-of-the-art equipment to address critical questions in this competitive and exciting area of research. Salary opportunities will be at the upper competitive end of the national norm. Applicants should be highly motivated with a strong background in molecular biology and in using animal systems. Minimum requirements are a recent Ph.D. degree.
