Our client is seeking a Medical Communicator/Writer, to join their Medical Communications Division, capable of producing a wide range of customized educational materials for medical professionals and patients - including pre- and post-congress materials, newsletters, medical abstracts and pharmaceutical detailing aids. They will also be responsible for organizing, managing and directing meetings between senior medical professionals, as well as preparing reports, consensus guidelines and other materials based on those meetings. Requirements: · A strong medical or science background e.g. Pharmacy, microbiology, biochemistry or other healthcare-related field · Authoritative personality - capable of taking charge and directing conversations between senior health professionals to a pre-determined brief · 2-5 years’ medical writing experience · Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) · Possess advisory board experience - direct discussions with key opinion leaders · Effectively bilingual preferred · Dynamic and well-organized · Responsible and able to work under pressure · Good PR skills and willing to travel · Keen interest in Internet and computer literate · Likely to be based in Taipei Our client offer a competitive salary package that commensurate with experience.
(Singapore) Reports to : Chief Executive Officer Requirements · Minimum MSc in a Biological / Chemistry discipline (PhD preferred). Additional MBA or LLB qualification will be an added advantage. · Minimum 5 - 8 years business experience, with prior experience in IP management, writing/review of deals and term sheet; and business negotiations. Experience in deal making, mergers and acquisitions, IPO would be an added advantage. · Biotech / pharmaceutical industry experience a requisite, with established networks within the VC environment. Main Responsibilities IPR - Work closely with research management and patent attorneys to ensure adequate protection of Company’s IPR, including confidentiality issues, proper documentation and invention disclosure, patent searches/analysis/filing, etc - Ensuring that the Company’s research projects do not infringe other companies IPR through mining of patent databases and evaluation of competitor patent status - Management of patent strategy and filing processes - Educating and advising the Company researchers on IP issues Business Development - Work closely with CEO and research management on business/corporate planning - Contribute toward the identification of potential collaboration partners - Partner with research management to map out the licensing and collaboration strategy of the company, including in-licensing, out-licensing and strategic collaborations. Incumbent will: · Facilitate the identification of evaluation criteria (working with research management) · Participate in the evaluation of companies (with focus on the business angle) · Lead the negotiation process · Drafting and review of term sheet for collaborations/acquisitions - Manage other business negotiations, in consultation with the CEO/CSO Legal - Drafting and review of legal documents for the company, eg. NDA, MTA, MOU, etc - Liaison with appointed lawyers on other legal documents (eg. License agreements, research contracts, collaboration / service agreements, etc) and IPR issues (eg. patents, trademarks, etc) - Provide general advice on legal issues to staff Fund Raising Work closely with the CEO and other appointed parties on fund raising activities for the company for the next round of funding, including: - Identification of VC companies and potential investors - Preparation for and participation in road shows.
