Alex Mauldin and Me
Not too long ago, if you ever searched for "Alex Mauldin" online, more than likely the results would all point to me. As far as Alex Mauldins went, I was pretty much it. Not anymore. There's a new Alex Mauldin online and I'm not sure if the net is big enough for the two of us. Meet Alex Mauldin:

The resemblance is uncanny, isn't it? Apparently Alex is a classical pianist who has released a cd called Considerations. If you go to his band page on Soundclick, you can download a few sample songs off the album (you have to register first, but it's free). I'm no judge of classical music, so I can't say if he's brought shame upon my name or not. I'll let you be the judge of that.
There's also an interview online with Alex Mauldin which states:
At the concert, he hopes that the audience will experience something.
“I want them to bring an open ear and heart and receive something,” he said.
Kinda like my philosophy at work. He has concerts. I have classes. And just like his audiences, my students have open ears and hearts, and they receive something whether they like it or not, the ungrateful little @$#%&!
And frankly I can't wait for him to be famous so we can star in a Visa commercial:
Cashier: This card says you're Alex Mauldin.
Alex Mauldin: Right.
Cashier: But he's Alex Mauldin, too.
Alex Mauldin: Right.
Cashier: But how do I know which one this is?
Alex Mauldin: I'm the one who busts out with the classical piano jams.
Cashier: And you?
Alex Mauldin: I'm the one who misses being the only Alex Mauldin online.
