Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas
"Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk. It is as when a conflagration has broken out in a great city, and no man knows what is safe, or where it will end." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Call it "WHY I HATE BLOGGING #64"

Okay.

Just got a message from Nancy Gibbs at URTA. She has been a good friend and supporter. She was also upset with me. She read my June 16th post regarding my experiences with South Central Telephone. If your recall, I had some trouble and frustration.

I reread the piece and after a couple of months no longer feel the frustration that seemed to occupy me at the time. I've changed the post. But I felt that I should do more.

So to Nancy and South Central, I'm sorry. I'll be more careful in the future. I should have called someone. I won't let it happen again.

Nancy's e-mail was another powerful reminder of two things. One, once something is published it takes on a life of its own and you can't predict what will happen. Two, it's important to always be courteous.

Oh, yes, there is a third lesson here. Something about why I hate blogging.
