Linus "Linux" Torvalds resigns from Transmeta...I've always kind of wondered why he was there. Didn't realize he'd been there over 6 years; I'm not sure I personally had yet heard of Linux 6 years ago. Seems like if getting (temporarily) rich was his goal--I don't think it was--he would have gone with one of the Linux dot-coms, like VA Linux, when they were, for a brief time, capitalized in the billions.

NYT. We should NOT be using natural gas for power plants. We have coal, or better yet, nukes, for that. We should be saving LNG for those applications where its transportability and storability are superior--mostly, home and other heating applications.
