it was hot hot super hot today in Concord, 103, not a record high but hot and its probably still about 90 in my house with no air conditioner, just fans blowing around hot air, although it seems likes its cooling off slightly outside...the cats are lying on anything cool - the kitchen floor, the office cement floor, the garage floor - anything to beat the heat, they could be lying on their kitty water bed thing but they don't seem to get that quite yet.
today I went to a client's location and one of the girls was like it soooooooooo hot here, I just can't stand it and it was only 71 there, I so wanted to roll my eyes at her. 71 is not hot, 71 with a cool breeze is not hot. One of the tenants in the building said last night was unbearable to sleep - dude get a fan, it was 58 last night in the city. They should try getting in a hot car when the temp outside is 103, I sure the car was 110, I have no air conditioner in my car, so I pretty much melted on the way to the city. It was like heaven when I crossed the bridge, it was so nice and cool. Or maybe they should try putting on a full fur coat and dealing with the heat, I'm sure my long haired black cat was really hot today, although he keep disappearing..something tells me he has a cool spot somewhere.
Want to try unbearable to sleep - how about 90-100 with only an open window and a fan? Now you're probably asking yourself why I don't have air conditioning..I have a flat roof and put in AC would be alot of money and alot of duct work, although I have thought about getting a portable swamp cooler..actually going online and checking out prices in a moment. In general I love the heat but occasionally its too hot and going to where its 71 is nice. On that note, I must go clean off this sticky desk, something melted on it yesterday :)
