Stephen Downes (I think) comments on Lindon's earlier comment:

"Who cares whether the cheque signers support this stuff? Oh, I'm sure someone will come along with 'enterprise blog' and sell it for half a million dollars, but will that prove its worth? Of course not. If the tools work for you, use them. If not, then don't. But don't peg the usefulness of a technology to financial or institutional support. That, surely, is the road to madness." [Stephen's Web]

Something doesn't add up though, surely 'success' is often measured in 'use'. Also, I think Lindon was probably referring more to the fact that people may 'oohhh' and 'ahhh' about some of the things RSS & weblogs can do they aint prepared to put in the commitment. Perhaps? Interesting debate tho'... I'll just shuddup & see if anyone has anything more to say...

Yowza!! That's what came spewing out of my mouth when I saw this compilation of RSS/Blogs/Wikis resources put together by David Mattison (via Web4Lib). Library Stuff gets a mention, as well as my RSS article (which is highlighted) [Library Stuff]

Reckon this might go some way to sorting out my aggregator issues, if I have a spare day or so :o)
