Higher Education Online Education Journals - Scholarly & Free

I'm currently trying to compile a good list of education technology journals for our Graduate Certificate in Higher Education course. I'm 'helping out' (yay I get to do some actual teaching.. yay yay yay!) with the elective in online teaching and learning and am trying to put together a website that (as well as incorporating some bloggin' and wiki features :o) points users to key articles and to journals where they can search for subject / topic specific articles.

I have some criteria though... they must be:

  • 'Scholarly' (peer-reviewed) - while I'm not necessarily a fan of this it's what the academic staff who will be taking the course will be looking for.
  • Freely available on the web - while I wouldn't moan about not having the current issue up I'm certainly after ones which are no more than a year in delay, web-publishing wise. We have subscriptions to all the non-freely available ones electronically but I don't want to encourage that.
  • Educationally focused - the idea is that, say, the nursing lecturer will be able to do a search on 'nursing' or 'health; and get articles focused on education and technology in that area.

Here are the ones I've got together so far... as usual I've probably missed some absolute sitters (fuzzy mind at the moment!)... if you could share any others you know of that fit the above criteria (or think I'm barking up totally the wrong tree) could you drop a comment and I'll revise / republish at a later date:

Australian Journal of Educational Technology
International Review Of Research In Open And Distance Learning
Journal of Interactive Media in Education
Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks
Canadian Journal of Learning and Technology
Journal of Computer Mediated Communication
Educational Technology and Society
Global E-Journal of Open, Flexible and Distance Education
Electronic Journal of eLearning
