A lot more to say. Just not yet

Don't ask me to choose a presidential candidate until Columbus Day 2004. I want to better understand myPresident as "the whole package". I'm not there yet.

Also, don't ask me to if yourCandidate is electable. American voters are not deeply discrimating. The powers that be bank on that premise 24/7/365/4. Mainstream media presents theirCandidates, then the public (often referred to as We the People) gets in to the game. RealCandidates requires superior marketing. Is yourCandidate electable? Take a look at their marketing effort. That's 80% of what you need to know about electability.

IMHO, of course.

Best Apache | MySQL | PHP install/configure step-bystep

I'm finally making the move to open source. It'll be awhile before I can own a box to run Linux, but I've got Apache, MySQL, and PHP working together on Windows2000. Installation was a breeze, sort of. After several days of false starts, I ran this tutorial. *EVERYHTHING* worked the first time, as directed.

The tutorial is on internetmaster. The goal:

our target is to attempt to install mySQL [mysql-4.0.13-win], php [php-4.3.2-Win32], & Apache [apache_2.0.46-win32-x86-no_src] under Windows.
We are installing as a CGI binary.

Includes MySQL Control Center and PHP MyAdmin (Check out the visual clues for making configuration edits in the right place).

A couple of hours, start to finsh. Less if you don't get distracted by your day job :-)
