Idea for a weblog Marjorie, my 11 year old daughter, was born with a condition known as craniosynestosis - fused cranial bones. That was a real concern because the growth of her head would have been constrained if the joins between the bones of the skull weren't separated. To give her brain the space it needed to grow, craniofacial surgery was performed as soon as her body could withstand anesthesia - a serious shock Marjorie, emotional trauma for the family. People who are born with craniofacial anomolies face a lifetime of challenges: health, mental, psychological, emotional, social, (the list goes on...). These challenges might benefit from people telling their stories, connecting through a weblog community.
One of the people I've been reading since I starting blogging in March is Rob Patterson, and it looks to me that Our Kids - Their Future could serve as a community model for what I have in mind. I'll do some googling today to see what'a already out there.
Sometimes you just need a little kick in the pants. Or agitation, as Doc calls it.
