New: Kids and Parenting Weblog Rob Patterson announces Our Kids - Their Future, a weblog "that will focus on how we can use the ideas and research that are coming out of the studies of the importance first 6 month of life." I hope that the interactive aspect of blogging and its ease of use will enable a much broader dialogue than has ever been possible before. There is so much great material that is not available in a form that is accessible to the average parent. I hope that for instance our leading researchers will be able to connect directly to our experience as parents and as service providers and vice versa. Such a direct relationship will be quite novel. As parents we can help each other as well. Not just by providing emotional support but in exchanging ideas. Many new parents on maternity leave have told me how isolated they can become. I hope that this type of community may provide the "well" in the village that our ancestor mothers would gather by and help each other. AHO, pass it on. 10:26:10 AM  permalink
