Anne and Don
This starts out not as a story of Anne and Don, but as a story about Marge Ford. Marge is a co-worker at SJSU who I have known for years. Sadly, Marge passed away last weekend. Besides being a friend of mine Marge was a friend of Anne's and that made me think of Anne.
Anne and Don were some of Candy (my first wife) and my best friends. When we lived in student housing at SJSU Anne and Don lived downstairs with their two kids. Anne and Don were especially helpful after Candy died. Don even took several days off to help me with all of the details I had to deal with after the car accident (when I had two kids in intensive care.) He was a great help, I will never forget how much he gave of himself at that time. They are great people.
Anyway, I looked up Anne on the Internet and Emailed her. We started conversing and sharing of photos electronically. It brought up a lot of memories. It was wonderful catching up! It is too bad it took something so sad to get us started.
