Petting Zones
My sister Lura once said that cats have special zones where they will allow their owners to pet them and give them attention that they will not allow to happen elsewhere.
I know this is true for our cat, Tupper. Normally she will not allow people to pick her up and she will not sit on your lap. But, on our bed she will crawl on us, poke her little wet nose in our face and even sometimes grace us by sitting in our lap.
One such event occurred recently when I was having my morning coffee and reading in bed. Tupper just crawled in my lap! She's a sweetheart!
