Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit scooters, a bit photo, a bit trains, a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

A place long forgotten
in a town I don't remember

abandoned drive-in theater

People and places live on in old pictures and old buildings. I remember my father telling me wonderful stories of the times before I was born about people who had lived before. Those stories died with him and the memories only lived as long as the last one who remembered. As I age my head seems also to be more and more filled with such memories. The list grows longer of the people who lived in the past. It is with joy and sadness that I recall them. Old pictures and old buildings serve as artifacts for me of people and places and ways of life that are already gone, and will never be again.
