Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit scooters, a bit photo, a bit trains, a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

End of a corn era for Sloans

Sean Hayden, corn guy

No more corn guy
For years we have been buying corn from Sean at the farmers market. Sean would bring in the corn, fresh picked, from Brentwood, about 90 miles away. He is a great salesman and has had a fantastic product. His corn was great. Every Sunday morning he would sell his corn with corny sayings like, "if it is not the best corn you ever tasted bring the cobs back for a full refund." I never saw anybody return cobs. He also would say "corn as sweet as my mother-in-law." We later found out he is not married. Now he is moving on to bigger things. He says he is going into politics. An era has passed.

No baby this weekend
There was discussion about possibly inducing labor and Jeff and Nicole's baby being born this weekend. But, the doctor decided not to do that. The baby is due on the sixth of October.
