Dubious Drugs
Wow, are the legalized druggies ever getting their comeuppance! Merck is getting killed for peddling Vioxx years after they knew it caused heart attacks and strokes. The FDA is being hammered for being a Big Pharma lapdog in the Vioxx case and also with anti-depressants (causing teen suicides). All the other drug companies are getting the blame spilled over from the main Vioxx crisis and their drugs are being questioned too, as the FDA tries to look like its in control and has the best interests of consumers at heart. :)
I'm loving it. This drug culture has gone on too long. Our neighbor just turned fifty and her doctor started dumping drugs into her even though she's perfectly healthy. Her cholesterol level is totally fine but she's on a cholesterol drug "just in case." He's also got her on blood pressure drugs and something else, I forget. I seem to have a mental block remembering drug names. I guess I just hate them so much.
You'd think I must have had some bad experience with drugs in my past, but I really haven't. Small things, maybe. I remember staying awake all night in a hotel room in Calgary, Alberta, because I was taking cafergot, a drug to supposedly help my eye problems. It had caffeine in it, which was the problem with sleeping. The next morning I had a class that I was supposed to learn a bunch of stuff at, but I don't think I learned much because I was so tired.
When your doctor prescribes that you should go on this drug or that drug, get a second opinion from a NATUROPATH or CHIROPRACTOR. Jesus, if you can avoid taking a drug for the rest of your life, isn't it worth it to try to get more information?
