I just got my first paycheck.  A guy was working on giving me some software, so I immediately sat down with a piece of paper and gave myself a budget.  If I don't go over my budget during the next 10 months, I believe I would be completely debt free.  A hard part of the contingency is the not going over.  I think, at least for a while, what I'll do is take out my spending money (including gas and food) for the week and then pay for everything by cash (i have to buy a wallet!).  If money is left over at the end of the week, I can put it in a back-up / fun fund to be used for clothes/travel/whatever.  There's also bonuses/raises that could happen...but it also means not getting a higher living expense when my lease is up in July...which might mean not moving, or really spending some time looking.

So, there I am.  Since my plan yesterday was to cash out the 401k, this is feeling a little more logical.

My afternoons feel sooooo long right now; I think not leaving for lunch (even if i'm not "working through") just tires me out of sitting at my desk and looking at this computer screen.

There are now folders partially covering the vent in my ceiling; I think I should put some art on it.  I'm still cold.

Okay, to read some materials...read, read, read!

Here's my dieting (in case anyone is around me and wants to be supportive):

Overall, eat lean protein, two fruits a day, and all the green vegetables you want.
Keep the fat low (for salad dressing, you can use a little olive oil with lemon and garlic).
No alcohol.
The main rule: eliminate the white stuff—bread, pasta, potatoes, rice—as well as candy, pastry, cookies, cake.
For the first month, stay away from whole grains (brown rice, oatmeal, whole wheat cereals and breads). After that, you can slowly add them back.

The other big rule: You must stop eating three hours before bedtime.

And then for exercise (for the next month):
You have eight workouts a week with one day of rest.
Six days a week, you do 20 minutes of resistance training using dumbbells. Choose a weight that's heavy enough to tire the muscle by the 12th rep—most women begin with five to ten pounds.  If you already weight train, go through your upper-body exercises.
Each session includes a cardio workout. Start with 30 minutes, five days a week, and on the sixth day, double the time to an hour. But here's the trick: The more comfortable a workout is, the less effective, so the aerobics are designed to constantly up the metabolic ante. For example, using treadmills and increasing the challenge every two minutes by raising the speed, incline, or both. The idea is to continually push yourself a little further than you thought you could go, until you get to the point where you can talk but don't want to.

It's mostly Oprah's plan.

And then it was morning again.  Who knew?  I'm sleepy.  I went to bed late, so was going to skip working out, but then I woke up...and did part of a work-out video.  Better than just lying in bed, I guess.

I, oddly, don't feel like being chatty.
