I've really got to go.
I'm headed to Charlotte for the week to undertake my company's first foray outside of Guilford County. We are starting a window restoration job in the swanky historic district of Myers Park. Usually when I start a new job in a new neighborhood I land several other similar projects within close proximity. If my past experience is any guide, I may have to set up housekeeping in the Queen City.
My venture, known as Double Hung - Historic Window Restoration, is hopping. I have hired my second employee and he starts next week. Roch Smith Jr and I have discussed a company website but my start-up venture has lacked the money or time to get it off the ground. I may just start a new blog about old window repair and leave it at that, might be interesting.
The participant list for the August 28th PiedBlog Un-Conference (it doesn't look like my moniker is catching on) is growing. Cone will post it while I'm gone so check and make sure you are listed. Let Ed know if you have decided to attend. As of this morning he says we may need a larger venue.
During my absence, please feel free to utilize my comments section here as an "open mic". What's on your mind? Because this blog's software resides on a desktop computer I will not be able to post new entries until I return, but I will be checking in through comments.
