It was 20 years ago today when I took this woman to be my lawfully wedded wife and I'm sure am glad I did. I can't imagine life without my Jinni.
As a grateful husband wanting to express my love, about a month ago I told Jinni what I wanted to do for our 20th anniversary. I wanted us to get married again and renew our vows in front of all of our Greensboro friends who missed it the first time. She thanked me but declined. "How 'bout we do that for our 25th", she suggested.
Tonight we celebrate by taking the kids to dinner at Hayble's Hearth - fine by me - as long as I'm with her.
