All I know about High Point's city politics is what I occasionally read in the online version of the High Point Enterprise, but, like the rest of Guilford County's municipalities, they have upcoming municipal elections, too.
I received and email from one of the candidates for HP's 6th ward seat telling me a little about himself. As far as I know, Tim Brown is the first HP candidate who has fired up a weblog in support of his candidacy. Good for Tim.
As far as I know, the HP City Council has no direct control or oversight concerning anything the Guilford County school board does, but that has not stopped him from making school related issues the top two points on his position statement.
