David Hoggard's take on local politics and life in general from Greensboro, NC

Just a short note to make my excuses.

We all got up too early to mix Bloody Mary's before heading to the Greatest Homecoming Parade on Earth.  Those tomato/vodka laden drinks are the only thing that does justice to a deep-fried porkchop sandwich at 9:00 in the morning.

For those of who have never been to the Aggie Parade, you really are missing one of the best things Greensboro has to offer.  Between the parade, the people and the extraordinary food offered by mom & pop vendors from all over - you'd have to get naked and lay in a big ol' pile to top it.

Jinni and I are headed to Charlotte for the night to help celebrate birthdays of some great friends of ours.  We intend to take in as much of the Queen City's nightlife as we can.

Friend Mia is staying at our house in support of the dogs and kids.  Her only request was that we deny Jack any driving priveleges for the evening.  So, if you see my old red Scout roaring around town - tell Jack to go home and that he is grounded.

See you Monday morning.
