New content: Read my Comment on Craig Foster's article likening the emotional response of Mormons who exit the Church to those grieving the loss of a loved one. Foster critiques those who have "lost their faith in the Church." That is a revealing phrase; a mainstream Christian would say "lost their faith in God." That typically Mormon perspective probably does more to explain the frustration exited Mormons feel than any "stages of grief" metaphor. All Christians profess love towards and faith in God; what distinguishes Mormons is that the object of their love and faith often seems to be the Church rather than God. Mormon religious life revolves around an endless cycle of rather dull meetings. It is religion designed by corporate managers. Your opinion?
