I'm not sure how I feel about this
I found this at
web zen. It's sorta funny, me being a serious tea drinker and all. But all I did was enter my first and last name, and this is what it gave me:

My goddamn rock solid ghetto shiznit name is Sexxmaster Teapot, Yo.
What's yours?

Holiday gifts

My family is in the midst of exchanging Christmas lists. Since my brother and his family live in Michigan and my folks and I live in New England, it’s impossible to divine what anyone might want. Besides, my brother’s kids are teenagers now. ‘Nuff said. Our lists these days typically include links to stuff at amazon.com or jcrew.com. It makes shopping easier, and you know the receiver will get what they want. But it takes the fun out of finding something unique and special – something that’ll be a surprise.

Long-Lasting Healthy Holiday Gift Ideas

Canyon Ranch is suggesting gifts that “show someone you care... with a holiday gift to enhance his or her life beyond the season.” Like Canyon Ranch gift certificates, for instance. (Right. How about, instead, for $2-grand I come over to your house for a couple of days and browbeat you into getting into shape?). Some of their other ideas:

  • Stop smoking -- a healthy lifestyle change that benefits the entire family
  • A heart-healthy cookbook or healthy-cooking classes
  • A new pair of athletic shoes or hiking boots
  • Dance lessons
  • Promise to learn a new sport or to walk each day with a loved one
  • Plant a vegetable or flower garden that the entire family can help create and nurture year-round
  • A cycling tour across Tuscany (uh, how about I take you to the movie??)
  • Colorful paints and an easel
  • A 12-month subscription to a healthy lifestyle magazine, such as Shape or Men's Fitness
  • A challenge -- "I'll run the marathon if you do."

Other ideas?

I don’t knit, so I can’t make scarves and mittens. But I do like to make food gifts – jars of candied nuts, spice-rub concoctions, mulled cider spice packs, and so on. Anyone else have favorite home-made or unusual gifties they like to give?
