The sudden dose of hot, humid weather we’re having here has made it difficult to write today. Normally I tolerate heat pretty well – I spent 10 days in New Orleans in early June once and loved it, although I’ll admit I wasn’t outdoors much during the day. I suspect the problem is, how do I put this? I’m hormonally incorrect for heat today. I hate to think how I’ll deal with menopause when that hits, hopefully years away yet.
If it weren’t so hot I might be enjoying StarIQ’s nice little “PlanetForecast” they sent me (for today thru Thursday), which reads in part:

The urges that burst forth in me today have mainly involved sitting on the couch with a book and occasionally spritzing water at my face, not to mention lunch and the tea and cookie and the Luna bar and the chips and salsa… Fortunately, I did go for a walk early this morning before it got hot. As for filming a bio of my life… It is sort of a nice way to think about what’s important, what you want in your life, and so on. If only you could hand out the script to people, because other people don’t seem to get it. Clients don’t call me with all the fabulous and interesting work I’d like, Ed McMahon doesn’t show up with the sweepstakes winnings, and Johnny Depp… well, let’s just say I haven’t heard one word from him about his starring role.
