Here's an interesting take on Bush's statement in his State of the Union address about banning human cloning, chimeras, and various experiments involving human embyros.

This is all very complex, and both the ethical and scientific issues are murky. I am skeptical of people at either end of the spectrum who paint a black-and-white picture resolving this. But it's worth reading and thinking about.

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann opened up a can of whup-ass on Fox News's Bill O'Reilly. No matter where you sit on the political spectrum, in a sane moment you have to admit that O'Reilly is the Howard Stern of political commentary; stirring up controversy for the ratings, not really a whole lot of "there" there.

What makes this really funny is that Olbermann has alway given the impression of being a pretty straight-laced kind of guy, and in this segment he turns the sarcasm knob up to 11.
