Why podcasting isn't radio. A few days ago Chris Pirillo introduced an excellent half-hour audio compilation of thoughts about podcasting with this line: It's nothing more than Internet radio at its core, folks. It's audio, on-demand, that's easily synchronized with your computer system / portable media device... in theory. Well, not quite. There's distinction to be made here, and it's a critical one if we want to keep podcasting free of the regulatory regime that put Internet radio out of business.
