Back Home As I look out my window this morning, there are about three inches of snow on my vehicle. Quite a switch from 24 hours ago, when it was softly raining where I was. I had a wonderful time in Vancouver. The meeting was fruitful and of course it's always a joy seeing Lucca, Marigold and Nori.
I was able to do a bit of Christmas shopping, picked up some presents for Jamie's meal (more on that later) and enjoy some great food.
That being said, it was good to see my family again. I'm not sure what happened while I was gone - Joe must have read the kids the Riot Act - because the house was spotless. Alan had cleaned the kitchen, Jamie the family room, I'm not sure what Iris' contribution was. Apparently Alan has been washing dishes and stacking wood without being asked. He even supplied dinner on Friday night - pizza. And last night, he drove Iris to a friend's house and then took himself and Jamie off to a movie, paying for the both of them and putting gas in my car to boot. Inch by tiny inch, I think my kids are growing up.
Today is a holiday here in the Yukon. However I have to work part of the day, to get ready for a Utility Board hearing that starts tomorrow. Nonetheless, I hope there's time for a walk in the snow.
