No Time to Blog It has been a hectic week, what with the Yukon Utilities Board hearings going on. Hopefully today will be the last day for them, although you never know with these things. I must tell you about a funny story that happened to me yesterday morning though.
It was a very cold morning so I went outside to start my car ahead of time. I then went to the back of the house to get some kindling for the wood stove. Instead of going all the way around the house again on my way back, I decided to come in through the garage. It was only after I got inside, with my arms full of wood, that I discovered it was pitch black in there and I couldn't find the light switch.
At this time, our garage is chocked full of extra furniture, a four wheeler, bikes, camping gear, two freezers and various and sundry other things. There I was, lost in my own garage, without a sliver of light. Everywhere I turned I bumped into something. It got so bad that I thought I was going to have to call out for help, but of course my pride wasn't about to let me do that unless absolutely necessary. I finally got my bearings enough to head in the right direction, and after 15 minutes (I kid you not!) I found my way out of there. It was certainly an interesting lesson in what it would be like to be blind in a strange environment.
