China vs. Japan (3) Just received a mass SMS from the Chinese police. The text (freely translated): Please realize that demonstrations are not allowed without permission. There are different ways to be patriotic and to show that you love your country. I was surprised to see that the police is now using SMS now to stop potential anti-Japanese demonstrations. Probably an effective way, because everybody owns a mobile phone in Shanghai and people will forward the messages or discuss them with friends (or write about them on a weblog!). 7:08:11 PM    comment []
